Galerie Simon Blais presents the group exhibition Orange from January 15 to February 12, 2022. This exhibition brings together nearly thirty modern and contemporary works.
The idea for this project was born after Simon Blais was lucky enough to get his hands on an exceptional painting by French painter Olivier Debré, Longue d'automne de Saint-Savin - Touraine. After holding the first exhibition entirely devoted to the artist's work on Canadian soil in 2021, the gallery will hang this five-metre long work which reflects Debré's monumental work.
To accompany this painting, the gallery has selected works of the same color: orange! Perhaps to add a little warmth to this cold season...
Visitors will have the opportunity to see not only the work of Marcelle Ferron, Jacques Hurtubise, Denis Juneau, Jean McEwen, Joan Mitchell and Jean Paul Riopelle, but also that of Carol Bernier, Michel Campeau, Jean-Sébastien Denis, Alexis Lavoie, David Nash, Louise Robert and Françoise Sullivan.
