Sean Scully

Irish-born American artist Sean Scully is internationally recognized for the excellence of his non-figurative works. Both a painter and printmaker, over five decades he has developed an œuvre that is characterized by its compartmentalization of pictorial space into rectangles of flat colour. The artist’s work is included in the collections of the world’s most prestigious museums, among them the Tate Gallery, Victoria and Albert Museum, Bologna Museum of Modern Art (MAMbo), Centre Pompidou, Art Gallery of Ontario, Metropolitan Museum of Art, and MoMA.
