The exhibition[Un] brings together various works by Galerie Simon Blais artists sharing a common formal characteristic in that they all show a single, isolated element. For the most part drawn from wide-ranging series, certain works offer painted or drawn forms that float on solid or flat backgrounds, while others present, for example, elements that are clearly delineated through their framing within the centre of a photographic composition. 

Works by Edmund Alleyn, Michel Campeau, Bertrand Carrière, Serge Clément, Éliane Excoffier, Betty Goodwin, Alexis Lavoie, François-Xavier Marange, Julie Ouellet, Yann Pocreau, Jean Paul Riopelle and Irene F. Whittome feature in this exhibition, which provides a new perspective on the practices of these of the gallery’s artists.
