La couleur quantifiée, group exhibition (Gallery 1)
As winter comes to its end, an invigorating palette of colours will be gracing the walls of Galerie Simon Blais! La couleur quantifiée will bring together works by artists who explore the physical properties of the pictorial medium and make skilful use of colour’s power of attraction. Not only will the exhibition cover a broad spectrum of hues and tonalities, but also a wide time period. In fact, the works that will be on view were executed in various years from 1960 to 2016, and certain of them have not yet been shown publically. The creations of painters from the modern era will share space with those by contemporary artists, among them Quebecers Jean McEwen, Françoise Sullivan, Jacques Hurtubise, Guido Molinari, Denis Juneau and Carol Bernier, as well as the Europeans Mette Stausland and David Nash.
