In room 3 of the gallery, we propose an exhibition of black and white photographs. The exhibition stands out because only silver prints are presented, i.e. photographs that have been printed in the darkroom by the photographers themselves in most cases. We are resolutely in the pre-digital era.
This small overview attests to the variety of approaches existing in silver photography, from conceptual art to portraiture through documentary, as well as the various technical processes associated with it. Each in their own way, these artists have explored the possibilities, and the limits, of silver-based processes.
