The most recent series of photographs by Serge Clément, NàY, expresses a vision inspired by the New York of the Roaring Twenties, as well as the artistic movements—the Bauhaus, Surrealism, and so on—of that era. Serge Clément speaks about this work in these terms: “An advance into the heart of a city, fragmentation to the point of abstraction, to the limit of the photographic surface and grain.” This series was first shown in May 2010 at the Le Réverbère gallery in Lyon. The artist will also launch a new book on this series at the exhibition opening.
