The Musée d'art contemporain de Baie-Saint-Paul promises a program "rich in color and emotion" this summer.
The first exhibition focuses on the contexts in which Jean Paul Riopelle lived and worked. Un lieu de mémoire : contextes d'existence was produced by the Musée d'art de Joliette and guest curator Irene Campolmi, as MACBSP general manager Gabrielle Bouchard explains.
A second artist will be honoured, Jean McEwen, in the exhibition Jean McEwen - Couleurs en jeu.
Both exhibitions will run from June 17 to November 5.
The Baie-Saint-Paul MAC is also celebrating Françoise Sullivan's 100th birthday. These paintings and sculptures will adorn the museum's entrance hall. She will be in Baie-Saint-Paul for the Symposium, which begins on July 28.
