Françoise Sullivan promoted to Grande officière of the Ordre national du Québec

June 13, 2025

Quebec Premier François Legault announced today that some 20 exceptional women and men will be appointed to one of the three ranks of the Ordre national du Québec. Artist Françoise Sullivan is among them; already a Chevalier since 2015, she has been promoted to the rank of Grande Officier.

We offer her our most sincere congratulations!

The ceremony to present the insignia, which will mark the 40th anniversary of the Order, will take place on Wednesday, June 18, at 2:30 p.m., in the agora of the Quebec Parliament Building.

The ceremony will be broadcast live on the Ordre national du Québec's Facebook page and YouTube channel, as well as on the Quebec National Assembly's television channel and website.

The Ordre national du Québec, whose motto is “Honor to the people of Quebec,” is the highest honorary distinction awarded by the Quebec government. It is awarded annually by the Premier to individuals who, from yesterday to today, have contributed to shaping Quebec. To date, more than 1,200 personalities from Quebec and elsewhere have been named since the very first ceremony in 1985.
