It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the opening of the exhibition "Juneau: Black and White in Colour", February 20th, 2024 from 5 to 7 p.m.
The exhibition, organized jointly with Georges Laoun Opticien by the Fiducie Denis Juneau, in collaboration with Galerie Simon Blais, will take place at the Georges Laoun Opticien shop, 1396 Sherbrooke Street West, Montreal. It will run until March 30th, 2024.
The exhibition takes a playful look at a multi-faceted artistic trajectory, from the charcoal drawings of his early days to geometric abstraction, to the exploration of transparencies in watercolour, which the artist favoured at the end of his life. Considered one of the key figures of geometric abstraction in Quebec, Denis Juneau's career spanned more than sixty years.
