Galerie Simon Blais presents the exhibition Prints by Sean Scully in Room 2 from January 15 to February 12, 2022.
Irish-American painter Sean Scully (1945-) is considered one of the last great abstract minimalist painters of the 20th century. His paintings can be found in major museums in North America, Europe and Asia. He has had countless exhibitions in institutions around the world.
The gallery is proud to present a collection of prints made by the artist between 1985 and 2011. His preferred motifs, made up of blocks of color, are reminiscent of flags and textiles. Scully's aquatints on paper are some of the finest work in the genre.
