About the artist

Roseline Granet

Roseline Granet was born in Paris on January 28, 1936. She studied drawing and painting at the Art Students League of New York in 1954, then sculpture with Ossip Zadkine at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris from 1956 to 1959. There she met Sam Szafran (later to become famous for his paintings and pastels) and Jacques Delahaye, known as a romantic sculptor, who encouraged her to establish the Fonderie Clementi in Meudon in 1960. Since then, she has continued to work in sculpture in this mythic place.
